introducing: me!

naomi tercero

Naomi Tercero is a writer and student based in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where she studies journalism and media at New Mexico State University. She first entered college as a business major but found her way back to writing through creative fiction and poetry courses. Her work now moves across genres—memoir/creative nonfiction, (very) short fiction, poetry, and journalism—where she writes to remember, to imagine, and to make sense of what lingers.

Naomi currently serves as Content Director at KRUX 91.5 FM, NMSU’s student-run radio station, where she leads a creative team and produces content that amplifies student voices and independent music. With a background in hospitality and marketing, she brings both warmth and strategy to her projects—balancing creative expression with clear communication.

Whether she’s behind a camera, curating a playlist, or editing a blog post, Naomi is drawn to spaces where storytelling invites reflection and dialogue. She is especially interested in publishing, public-facing media, and the ways writing builds bridges between people.

She is currently expanding her creative portfolio and hopes to build a career that brings together writing, media, and meaningful community work.

Her work has been featured on KRUX radio’s blog and in many local community writing showcases.
